Biff Pocoroba injured in Pizza Hut Grease Fire
December 8, 1995 MILLEN, GA - Former Atlanta Braves Catcher, Biff Pocoroba, was injured in a violent grease fire at the Pizza Hut on SawMill Rd in Millen. The fire was apparently started by a pizza chef and quickly overtook the entire restaurant. Biff was eating a late dinner with Bruce Benedict and Bob Horner when the fire erupted. Bob and Biff were playing a two person game of Galaga on a tabletop arcade game like they do every Saturday night. Mr Pocoroba passed out from smoke inhalation as he tried to get the high score on the Galaga game. Bob Horner pulled Biff to safety. Biff Pocoroba was wearing his Braves uniform when the fire occurred and had posed for the picture above in a field near the parking lot for a fan just before entering the Pizza Hut. Biff is in stable condition and resting well in his apartment above a Tacqueria.
